Trapped

What a weird place.

He was like a chameleon. He could acquire any appearance whenever he wanted to and changed it as many times as he desired.
He could travel to any place, he could go to the past, to his past.

It was like being in a dream, except he felt like being perfectly awake. Being able to handle the world surrounding at will.

Suddenly, he understood.
He was in a place he knew, as well as he deeply ignored it.
That familiar yet strange place, subjected to his will, stood close, nearby and remote. Simple and complex. Infinite and restrained. Dark and benevolent. Warm and frozen.

Trapped in his own mind.
